Petřín funicular

Újezd – Nebozízek – Petřín

The funicular railway climbs from Újezd to the top of Petřín hill in 4 minutes. It runs 7:00–22:15 every day, with the same timetable on weekdays and weekends. At the top are the lookout tower, the mirror maze and the Štefánik Observatory.

How much it costs

The funicular has its own single ticket for CZK 100, or CZK 90 in the PID Lítačka app. The standard 30 and 90-minute tickets are not valid here, even though they are valid everywhere else in Prague.

You ride at no extra cost with a 24 or 72-hour ticket, a Prague season pass, the Prague Visitor Pass or a free-travel entitlement. So visitors with a 24-hour ticket get the funicular included.

Funicular timetable

The two cars run as a pair and pass each other halfway up. Service stops in strong wind, icy conditions or during inspections, so check the disruptions before you go.
